Liberian/American Actress Renée Veronica Freeman.

|FASHION, ENTERTAINMENT, ARTS, EDUCATION MIX WITH CULTURE LIFESTYLE |

Renée Veronica Freeman is a Liberian-American actress known for Law & Order: SVU (2011), Brandon Morrissey’s short film Waystation In The Stars (2013), and most notably as Deloris Van Cartier (originated in film by Whoopi Goldberg, and on Broadway by Patina Miller), in the 2nd National & Intl. Broadway tour of Jerry Zaks’ Sister Act the Musical (2014-2015).

After a 27-year return home to Liberia, Renée saw the need to build confidence and empowerment through arts education. In March 2017, she established the Grace Youth Empowerment Camp – a non-profit arts program to expose the youth of Liberia to the Fine Arts through acting, music, movement and creative writing.

The inaugural program, lead by Renée and her colleagues in film, television, and on the Broadway Stage, will teach and inspire Liberian Youth in an immersive 2 week camp in the winter of 2018.

We really love this quote by Renée.

“If you are unwilling to Fail, you are unwilling to Succeed. Everything that you want is on the other side of your Fear. Why give truth to the lie? Your fear is Utterly Useless. Care Less about it… Push it out of the way, and go and Own your Life”.
